4/25/08 Richmond's Rechel Wins Twenty 12 Talent Triathlon Over Strong Field Spider freshman cross country standout Julie Rechel came to the University of Richmond as one of the brightest junior elite triathletes in the nation. She notched the biggest victory of her young triathlon career last weekend at the USA Triathlon Tuscaloosa Tri-Palooza in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
3/5/08 Cross Country Earns Sixth-Consecutive All-Academic Team Award For the sixth season in a row, both the University of Richmond men's and women's cross teams earned the NCAA Academic All-America Award from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Spiders were one of five women's teams from the Atlantic 10 to earn the honor, while the men's team was one of two from the conference.
11/13/07 Molz, Llano Garner Academic All-Conference Honors In Cross Country Jonathan Molz and Matt Llano each earned Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Academic All-Conference honors; it was announced by the A-10 Tuesday. Molz and Llano helped lead the Spiders to a program-best second-place finish at the 2007 A-10 Championship.
